"A Journey in Fashion" with a Unique Fashion Exhibition

LOVE IS IN THE AIR: Metropole Monte-Carlo Loves Lanvin
Love is in the air this year as the Principality of Monaco prepares to celebrate Prince Albert’s wedding to Charlene Wittstock on 2 July 2011, one of the most highly anticipated royal weddings of the last half century.
In preparation for this momentous occasion, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is to become a showcase for one of the most established French couture brands:
LANVIN, paying special attention to romance.
To celebrate this romantic-themed collaboration, the 5-star Monaco hotel will launch a Love Is In the Air package available from 1 February to 8 April, and will set the mood with a décor inspired by LANVIN’s heart collection with personal touches by Alber Elbaz, its Artistic Director and award-winning designer. “Miss Rose”, the hotel’s florist and stylist, has devised original and spectacular flower arrangements based on the theme of love, and a huge bouquet of pink and red roses in the Salon des Princes. “Miss Rose” has also designed an amazing decorative cake to create an atmosphere of romance in the lobby. Compiled by Sound Designer Béatrice Ardisson, the background music throughout the hotel will ensure a particularly romantic, elegant and magical ambiance.
Alber Elbaz, also renowned for his fun and colourful drawings, has created, exclusively for the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, a Valentine’s sketch.
VALENTINES DAY at Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo,
14th February
For guests staying over Valentine’s Day, for a supplementary €160 per person, they can enjoy a special Valentine’s Dinner at the Joël Robuchon Restaurant. These guests will be able to sample a special 7-course romantic menu created by Executive Chef, Christophe Cussac. For the dessert, Chef Patissier Patrick Mesiano will serve a heart-shaped cheesecake, devised in collaboration with Alber Elbaz. One lucky Valentine will find a heart- shaped figurine under her napkin and will receive a beautiful black silk LANVIN evening bag.
On the night, Alber Elbaz will dress the restaurant hostesses in elegant LANVIN dresses and the Maîtres d’ with the signature LANVIN bow-ties.
